Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor and document resident conditions, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
• Follow care plans and carry out delegated nursing tasks with attention to safety and dignity
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident’s needs are met and their preferences respected
• Deliver meaningful interactions to promote resident well-being and emotional support

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification (or equivalent state nursing assistant certification) required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and TB testing per facility policy
• Comfortable working night shifts and flexible scheduling
• 1+ year of direct care experience preferred but new grads are welcome with enthusiasm and strong bedside manner
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA or CNA certification as required by Maryland

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and ADLs
• Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
• Accurate documentation and charting skills
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Compassionate communication and teamwork
• Safe resident transfer and lifting techniques
