Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments to ensure smooth cases
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and anticipating needs during procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique and uphold OR safety standards
• Perform room turnover and instrument counts accurately and efficiently
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff to support patient care
• Document procedures and equipment usage as required by facility protocols

Qualifications

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) — required
• Experience: 1 year experience in an Operating Room or similar perioperative setting
• Familiarity with OR processes, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Ability to work early starts and extended day coverage as needed for the assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing
• Skilled in patient positioning and preparation for surgery
• Proficient in surgical counts and OR turnover procedures
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in high-acuity environments
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
