Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform as a primary scrub for complex cardiac surgeries, including bypass and valve procedures
Adapt quickly to support main OR cases in orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and gynecologic surgeries
Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and equipment for each procedure
Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments with precision and efficiency
Assist in ensuring a safe and organized operating environment for patients and staff
Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification preferred
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience with independent cardiac scrubbing
Ability to scrub in multiple surgical specialties as needed
Flexibility and a team-player attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Deep understanding of sterile technique and infection control
Expert knowledge of surgical instrumentation and their uses
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
Quick problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic environment
