Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a fast-paced PCU/Med Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for side effects
Titrate common drips such as heparin and cardizem
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, social work, and case management
Utilize EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps for accurate documentation and medication administration

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Med Surg or Oncology nursing experience
Active and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred
Driver's license required for verification of mileage
Willingness to take a pass/fail exam during orientation (resources provided)
Must not be currently employed with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care
Skills in hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) - can train
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Understanding of patient ratios 1:4 PCU, 1:5 Med Surg
Ability to work a mixed unit with diverse patient populations
