Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Monitor and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment
Maintain a positive attitude and support fellow team members

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Driver's license required to verify residency outside 50-mile radius
Pass open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Strong titration skills for cardiac and seizure medications
Ability to interpret continuous EEG monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Adaptability to float between units
