RN (Registered Nurse) - PCU

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor and manage cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and DM patients, including continuous EEG monitoring
Titrate drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications as needed
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating cardiac and seizure medications
Experience with telemetry monitoring and continuous EEG
Knowledge of adult and geriatric patient care best practices
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities
