Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population on a 32-bed Oncology Acute Tele unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG rhythms, ensuring timely interventions
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with strict sterile field technique
Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and SWAT RNs to deliver coordinated care
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed, expanding your clinical skills

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemotherapy certification is a plus
Must pass DYS exam prior to acceptance
Ability to maintain sterile field and pass SIMs lab skills
Minimum 2 years of recent oncology or telemetry experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration knowledge
Proficient in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Expertise in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Understanding of sterile field technique and infection control
Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
