RN - Oncology PCU/MedSurg

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or other available shifts (7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a). Self-scheduling, every other weekend required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU/MedSurg patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects
Manage drips including heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Perform hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator support
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Float to MedSurg and PCU units as needed

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU/MedSurg and oncology experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required
EPIC experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in chemotherapy administration and safety
Experience with ventilator management
Hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Team-oriented with excellent communication
