Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to students, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and consistently
Assist school health staff with medication administration per policy and documentation
Communicate clearly with nurses, teachers, and families about student needs
Maintain clean, safe, and organized clinical spaces while following infection control
Document care in a timely, professional manner and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in the state of California
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
Ability to pass background clearance and required health screenings
Comfort working with children and adolescents; school or pediatric experience a plus
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established policies and protocols
Available for per-diem/daytime assignments and flexible scheduling

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in basic patient care, transfers, and mobility assistance
Skilled at taking and documenting accurate vital signs
Familiar with infection control principles and safe clinical practice
Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
Detail-oriented documentation and the ability to follow instructions precisely
Calm, patient approach to managing minor medical concerns and classroom health needs
