Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and consistently to support care plans
• Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and changes in condition
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and team members
• Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
• Support patient comfort, dignity, and emotional needs during each shift

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with strong skills are welcome
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Up-to-date immunizations per employer policy (e.g., TB screening, influenza as applicable)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a 12-hour day shift when scheduled

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with patient transfers, safe lifting techniques, and mobility assistance
• Skilled at taking vital signs and recognizing changes in patient condition
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate care
• Basic charting and documentation skills, with attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset and good time management during busy shifts
