Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond rapidly and appropriately to telemetry changes
• Communicate clinical changes, diagnostic results, and care plan updates clearly with physicians and the care team
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate patient/family teaching to support recovery and self-care
• Guide and mentor other nursing personnel while maintaining unit standards and best practices
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses while adhering to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• Completion of required facility screenings (drug screen, fit test, TB, vaccines) and Nursys verification
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring expertise
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Knowledge of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Familiarity with ventilator management and respiratory care concepts
• Infection control practices and patient safety focus
• Comfort with unit-specific competency testing (Prime Core Competencies, Specialty exams)
