Location: Fort Morgan, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 01-04-2027

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in a rural LDRP setting
Triage patients and assess for labor progression, complications, and emergencies
Function as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Administer medications including titratable drips such as Pitocin
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia providers (20-minute response time)
Assist with gynecological surgical patients as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
Must be trained in LDRP settings
Ability to triage and function as baby catcher/transition nurse
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Willingness to work in a rural hospital with limited resources

Knowledge & Skills

Competent in fetal monitoring using OBIX system
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Skill in administering and titrating Pitocin
Ability to work independently as one of two nurses on shift
