Respiratory Therapist

Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, every third weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert respiratory care across neonatal to geriatric patients in a Level II trauma setting
Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment including Airvo, PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics
Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to make critical clinical decisions
Provide specialized NICU respiratory support while maintaining independence and sound judgment
Cover all areas of the facility including ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units

Qualifications

Current RRT or CRT credential
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Active North Dakota state respiratory therapy license
Proven NICU experience essential
Ability to work independently and exercise strong clinical judgment

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management across all age groups
Airvo high-flow systems and multiple ventilator platforms
Neonatal intensive care respiratory protocols
Strong clinical decision-making and independent practice
Collaborative communication with physicians and care teams
