Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across medical-surgical and telemetry units
Float between facilities within a 60-mile zone, adapting quickly to new teams and patient populations
Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications including heparin drips, and respond to changing patient needs
Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care
Support patients through cardiac, neuro, oncology, orthopedic, renal, and post-surgical journeys
Maintain accurate documentation and stay ready to float into ICU holds, PCU, or ED observation as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Strong adaptability and willingness to float across multiple specialties and facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC and Alaris preferred
Neuro experience is a plus
Comfortable reading telemetry strips and managing heparin drips
Excellent communication and teamwork across diverse units
