Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Manage complex cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedure patients with confidence
Titrate and monitor critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond swiftly to patient changes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences and outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient education, medication communication, and responsiveness scores

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation and titratable drip experience
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status
Willingness to work every other weekend and at least two holidays during the contract

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
Arterial line management
High-flow oxygen systems
Patient education and clear communication
Flexibility to float and adapt to changing assignments
