Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret basic strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Support recovery for total joint replacement and stroke/TIA patients
Collaborate with charge nurses and aides to maintain safe 1:5 ratios
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support the broader team
Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80 percent or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic tele strips and interpreting dysrhythmias
Preferred background in total joint replacement and CVA/TIA care
Cerner experience strongly recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals
Patient assessment and care planning
Comfort managing set-rate drips such as Diltiazem
Familiarity with BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments
Strong communication and teamwork across shifts
