Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Same Day Unit
Assess and continuously monitor patient status, documenting findings accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely and per facility protocols
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
Contribute to a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in good standing (Louisiana state licensure preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
Clinical experience in acute care or same day/observation settings preferred
Strong patient assessment and medication administration skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of inpatient observation care and ambulatory procedures
