Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality post-cath care including TR band management and monitoring
• Deliver advanced pulmonary treatments and manage medication titration per orders
• Monitor patients using telemetry and GE monitors, respond quickly to changes
• Document care thoroughly and accurately in Meditech to support continuity
• Educate patients and families on meds, procedures, and recovery using AIDET principles
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Support unit flow and floating responsibilities as needed in rotation with staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure (RN) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; Trauma III certification noted by hospital
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care/PCU or telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated skills in post-cath care, TR band care, medication titration, and advanced pulmonary treatments
• Comfortable working in a 12-bed PCU with a 4:1 patient ratio and 1 tech support
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and solid problem-solving skills

Education

• Registered Nurse licensure required (RN). BSN preferred where applicable.

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled with Meditech documentation system
• Familiarity with GE monitors, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis med dispensing
• Experience with telemetry/PCU monitoring and cardiac post-procedure care
• Strong patient communication using AIDET and medication teaching
• Ability to perform advanced pulmonary treatments and titrate medications safely
