Registered Nurse - Oncology Telemetry
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs using Phillips telemetry equipment
- Administer medications and manage central lines while maintaining strict sterile technique
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, and specialty resource RNs
- Float to other MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Chemo certification is a plus
- Minimum one year of recent acute care telemetry or oncology experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation skills
- Proficient with Cerner electronic medical records
- Comfortable floating between MedSurg and Telemetry units
- Excellent sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line care
- Ability to manage oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and supportive treatments
