Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, lung transplant evaluations, and esophageal procedures
Monitor cardiac rhythms using Philips equipment and interpret EKGs to catch changes early
Administer non-titrating drips and support patients on CPAP or high-flow oxygen therapy
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy
Float to sister telemetry units when needed to keep patient care seamless across the hospital
Maintain sterile technique during Foley insertions and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma cardiac telemetry experience
Comfortable interpreting EKGs and using Cerner EMR
Must pass dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) before start
Clean-shaven for men and natural hair color to meet fit-test standards

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac step-down and post-surgical patient populations
Philips monitor telemetry and EKG interpretation
Cerner electronic medical records
CPAP and high-flow oxygen management
Sterile field maintenance for Foley and central line procedures
