Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
Collaborate with psychiatrists and security teams to ensure patient safety
Administer medications and perform sterile procedures with precision
Educate patients and families while maintaining a calm, supportive environment
Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support the broader care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
MedSurg/Tele experience with Cerner EMR proficiency
Psychiatric experience preferred but not required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) and SIMs Lab skills check
Clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Comfort working with patients who have secondary psychiatric diagnoses
Excellent sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line care
Ability to remain calm and de-escalate in behavioral health situations
Video monitoring and safety observation skills
Cerner documentation proficiency
