Location: Prescott Valley, Arizona

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to Med Surg Tele and PCU patients
Interpret telemetry strips and respond quickly to cardiac changes
Collaborate with the care team to support patients recovering from surgery and managing complex medical conditions
Precept and mentor nursing students, helping shape the next generation of nurses
Float to Multi Care Unit, Pediatrics, and West Campus as needed to support the broader hospital team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience, telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts
Willingness to care for both MST and PCU level patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Comfort managing patients with chest pain, COPD, pneumonia, and post-surgical needs
Experience with stable CPAP and BiPAP patients
Ability to precept nursing students
Flexibility to float across multiple units
