Registered Nurse - Neuro Telemetry
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
- Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
- Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a bustling 32-bed unit
- Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed, showcasing your adaptability and clinical expertise
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner while ensuring excellent bedside handoff communication
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Neuro experience highly valued
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and skills lab on day one of orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- Experience safely titrating cardiac and insulin drips
- Comfortable with central line care and sterile technique
- Proficient with Cerner electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
