Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the assigned shift
• Assess patient condition and implement appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly in the chart
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations and escalate as needed

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Experience or familiarity with MST responsibilities/core skills (as listed)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred
• Demonstrated clinical judgment and strong assessment skills in acute care settings
• Ability to work independently in a per-diem role and adapt quickly to new environments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred
• Completion of required state licensure and mandated training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and prioritization for 12-hour shifts
