Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for patients on a med-surg/telemetry unit
• Monitor and assess patient status, interpreting telemetry and vital signs promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all patient interactions accurately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Experience working in Med-Surg/Telemetry (MST) settings is preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS) a plus
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and medication administration
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
• Professional, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Infection control practices and safety protocols
• Effective teamwork and clear communication with providers and support staff
