Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for patients in the MST specialty
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and document changes clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with protocols
• Educate patients and families about care plans, resources, and follow-up needs
• Respond to emergencies and escalate care appropriately to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (California RN license required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience working with MST populations or related behavioral health experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain professional judgment in high-acuity situations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical nursing fundamentals and patient assessment techniques
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Trauma-informed care principles and sensitivity when working with MST patients
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and prioritization skills for overnight clinical coverage
