Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe, and skilled nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Assess patient condition, interpret data, and implement evidence-based interventions
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient status, escalating concerns appropriately
• Contribute to unit improvement initiatives and support a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Hampshire (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — or willingness to obtain
• Med/Surg clinical experience (preferred) and comfort with 12+ hour shift care
• Strong clinical assessment, IV/medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in busy clinical situations
• Good patient education and discharge planning skills
• Team collaboration and effective communication with interdisciplinary staff
