Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor adult med/surg patients, identifying changes in condition and acting promptly
• Deliver safe medication administration and document all interventions accurately
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Perform skilled nursing procedures and monitor patient responses
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in New Hampshire or active compact license
• Demonstrated experience in medical-surgical nursing or equivalent clinical exposure
• BLS certification required; advanced certifications such as ACLS are a plus
• Comfortable with medication administration, IV therapy, and common med/surg clinical procedures
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently on per diem shifts

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with patient assessment and documentation in electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients safely during 12.5-hour shifts
• Effective teamwork and communication across disciplines
• Patient-centered approach with strong teaching and discharge planning skills
