Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on the Med/Surg unit
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Safely administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating when appropriate

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential in good standing
Clinical experience or focus in Med/Surg nursing (experience level not specified)
Comfort and ability to work 12.5-hour shifts as required by the unit
Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills
BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain if offered the role

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge including patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration and safe practice standards
Familiarity with documentation and electronic medical record workflows
Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients
Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
Commitment to infection control and patient safety practices
