Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to pediatric patients
Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status consistently
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Document patient care and clinical changes clearly in the medical record
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Missouri)
Experience or clinical background in Med/Surg nursing with pediatric exposure
Current BLS; PALS or pediatric certifications are a plus
Comfortable working 12+ hour shifts and managing acuity changes
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care considerations
Medication administration, IV therapy, and assessment skills
Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate charting
Ability to prioritize, triage, and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
Excellent patient-family communication and bedside manner
