Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric med/surg patients with attention to individualized plans
Assess patient condition, implement care plans, and document clinical findings accurately
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists to optimize patient outcomes
Administer medications and treatments per protocol and monitor patient responses
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions in a compassionate way
Participate in orientation and unit training to ensure consistency in care delivery

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts, or eligibility to obtain one quickly
Clinical experience or strong interest in medical-surgical and pediatric nursing
BLS required; additional pediatric certifications (PALS) a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team
Ability to complete orientation and onboarding as required by the facility

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of med/surg and pediatric nursing principles
Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail
Patient- and family-centered communication skills
Basic familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation
