Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough assessments and create clear, prioritized nursing plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent patient care
Document patient status and interventions accurately and timely in the chart
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Med/Surg nursing experience preferred; comfort with a fast-paced acute care environment
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support unit goals

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
Comfort with IV therapy, medication administration, and patient monitoring
Skilled in documentation and clinical charting to maintain continuity of care
Good time management and ability to prioritize multiple patients
Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and patient advocacy skills
