Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to Med/Surg patients and their families
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute effective care plans
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and clinical quality

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
• Previous Med/Surg clinical experience or strong clinical foundation
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to rotating schedules
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Proficient in medication administration, IV therapy, and patient assessment
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization skills
• Collaborative attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
