Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days to be determined (Med/Surg RN schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough assessments and develop/implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely patient care
Monitor and document patient status and respond to changes quickly
Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge planning
Support unit throughput by prioritizing tasks and communicating effectively

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse licensure (state-appropriate) required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS a plus as applicable
Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing best practices and clinical protocols
Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient monitoring
Ability to triage, prioritize, and manage multiple patients safely
Cultural sensitivity and patient education tailored to diverse populations
