Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and continuously monitor patients on Med/Surg units, responding quickly to changes
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following hospital protocols
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions and optimal outcomes
Document patient care clearly and thoroughly in the medical record
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge care plans
Participate in safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license (ability to obtain/maintain Hawaii licensure as required)
Current BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS may be preferred)
Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing or demonstrated competency in acute care
Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to pass background check and required pre-employment screenings

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg patient assessment and care planning
Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy
Competent documentation in electronic medical record systems
Strong critical thinking and time-management under busy conditions
Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
