Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Monitor patient progress and respond swiftly to changes in condition
Document care in the electronic health record accurately and timely
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatments, and discharge plans
Support unit efficiency by prioritizing tasks and mentoring colleagues

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia preferred; compact license accepted if applicable)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit needs

Education

Diploma/Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of Med/Surg patient care principles
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Patient assessment and clinical documentation skills
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
