Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to LDRP patients including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Interpret fetal heart strips and titrate drips such as pitocin, insulin, and magnesium
Float to MedSurg and ER as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and surgical techs to ensure safe, quality care
Adhere to AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios and quality metrics
Assist with couplet care and patient education for new families

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required; ACLS, NRP, and STABLE preferred
Minimum 1 year of LDRP nursing experience with strong fetal strip interpretation skills
Previous travel experience highly valued
Ability to think critically and adapt to fast-changing clinical situations
Comfortable floating to MedSurg and ER units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal monitoring and strip interpretation
Proficient in drip titration for pitocin, insulin, and magnesium
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Philips telemetry systems
