Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM NOC, includes weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
Triage and assess obstetrical patients, managing labor and delivery with a focus on safe outcomes
Function as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Administer pitocin and other titratable medications as ordered
Collaborate with on-call OB providers and anesthesia to ensure seamless patient care
Support GYN surgical patients post-operatively as needed

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent L&D experience in an LDRP setting
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required
Able to care for laboring patients independently, including triage and newborn transition
Comfortable working in a small, close-knit team environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation (OBIX system)
Skilled in triage and prioritization in a low-volume but high-acuity setting
Familiarity with pitocin titration and postpartum hemorrhage protocols
Strong communication and collaboration skills with providers and ancillary staff
Ability to float occasionally to med-surg for helping hands
