Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 8-hour shifts; exact start and end times vary by assignment based on facility needs. Days and evenings available; schedule determined per shift availability.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with facility standards
Assess, monitor and document patient condition and progress with accuracy
Administer medications and treatments safely and timely according to orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments and follow-up needs
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols and facility policies
Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and promoting teamwork

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania required
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS a plus where applicable
Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred
Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to adapt quickly to different unit workflows and patient needs

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members
Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
