Location: San Luis Obispo, CA

Start Date: 06-13-2026

End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients and their families
Monitor fetal heart tracings using Fetal Link and respond to changes in maternal and fetal status
Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with high-risk deliveries
Float between L&D and postpartum units as needed to support the team
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurse, and on-call neonatologist to ensure safe outcomes
Educate new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent L&D/PP experience
Active California RN license or compact license accepted
Travel experience preferred but not required
Must be comfortable circulating for C-sections

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR and Fetal Link monitoring system
ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for high-risk obstetrics
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced unit
