Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (nights) or 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (days), every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to laboring mothers and newborns in a LDRP unit
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, titrate medications like Pitocin and Magnesium
Assist with deliveries and emergency interventions, ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
Educate and support families through the birthing process

Qualifications

Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Valid driver's license to confirm residency distance
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia drips
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Experience with antepartum, postpartum, and GYN patients
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
