Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients with conditions such as trauma, cardiac issues, sepsis, and respiratory distress
Titrate cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips as ordered
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, document strips, and respond to changes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nurse aides
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass open-book skills exam within first week

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience preferred
Willing to float to other units as needed
Must meet radius rule: live 50+ miles from any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
Experience with cardiac drip titration and vent management
Ability to interpret telemetry and cardiac strips
Comfortable with high-acuity patients and fast-paced environment
