Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients
Assess, monitor, and document patient status, vital signs, and responses to treatment
Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions as ordered
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
Contribute to a culture of safety by following protocols, participating in rounds, and supporting continuous improvement

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Experience working in an ICU setting and comfort with 12-hour shift schedules
Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in high-acuity care
BLS required; ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care patient assessment and monitoring
Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Safe medication and IV infusion administration
Clear communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments
Accurate documentation and charting practices
