Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor hemodynamics, interpret data, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Perform advanced nursing interventions, including ventilator and support device management
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN licensure as applicable
• Critical care/ICU experience (prior ICU experience expected/preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other critical care certifications preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Proof of required immunizations and background checks as per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ICU clinical practices and protocols
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced life support
• Skilled in medication administration and titration for critically ill patients
• Proficient in patient assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and interpreting labs
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and colleagues
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care accurately
