Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
• Continuously monitor and assess patient condition, interpreting data from monitors and labs
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately, following protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
• Respond rapidly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient status
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge care

Qualifications

• Current RN license (ability to practice in Louisiana preferred)
• Critical care/ICU nursing experience (new grads may be considered if supported by orientation programs)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work in high-acuity settings and prioritize effectively
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings as required

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a critical care setting
• Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and infusion therapy
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with physicians and support staff
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and act decisively in emergencies
