Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-level care to a diverse ICU patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate critical drips such as cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications with precision and confidence
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips alongside a dedicated telemetry technician
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, nurse aides, and healthcare support techs
Float to PCU and occasionally MedSurg, maintaining safe 1:4 or 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required
Valid driver's license for verification of residence radius
Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book orientation exam with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ICU nursing, patient monitoring, and drip titration
Proficient in telemetry reading and interpretation
Comfortable with floating to PCU and MedSurg units
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
