Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and manage critically ill patients in the ICU, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
Provide advanced monitoring and interventions for ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
Administer complex IV medications and titratable drips safely and accurately
Document patient status, interventions, and responses in the medical record with clarity and timeliness
Educate patients and families with compassion, helping them navigate critical care decisions

Qualifications

Current RN licensure in Hawaii or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
Experience in ICU/Critical Care nursing (prior ICU experience highly preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and prioritization skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU environment

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and interventions (ventilator care, hemodynamic monitoring)
Familiarity with titratable drips and complex IV medication administration
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly
Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary teams
Proficient charting and documentation practices; adaptability with electronic medical records
