Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Assess, monitor and document patient status including hemodynamic and respiratory metrics
Administer medications, IV therapies and titratable drips safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency procedures
Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments and discharge needs
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Hawaii)
Previous ICU experience or background in critical care nursing
Comfort working 12.5-hour shift blocks in a fast-paced environment
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, teamwork and communication skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator and respiratory support familiarity
IV medication administration and titration
Cardiac monitoring and post-operative critical care
Electronic medical record documentation and multidisciplinary communication
