Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage, prioritize care needs, and act decisively in urgent situations
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor vitals, and document assessments accurately in the EMR
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and unit-based projects

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact RN licensure where applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and PALS preferred
• Emergency nursing experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills may be considered
• Current immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment expertise
• Familiarity with common ED equipment and procedures
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork under pressure
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
