Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions and treatments in the ER
• Document patient care and clinical findings in Meditech thoroughly and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain up-to-date certifications and follow unit policies and dress code
• Provide family-centered communication and compassionate patient education
• Float to other units as needed while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license required; temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with 2+ years of specialty ER experience
• NIH required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• TNCC required
• Meditech experience preferred

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (temporary license not accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient documentation in Meditech
• Skilled in triage, airway management, IV/medication administration, and trauma care
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Ability to adapt to floating and changing unit needs
• Familiarity with unit policies, infection control, and professional standards
